“Part cat, part girl – and fully lethal.” That’s how Krome Studios’ press release describes the heroine of the upcoming Blade Kitten , a two-part, downloadable arcade action game coming to the PS3 this Spring. The anime-inspired game is based off a comic of the same name, created by Krome Studios co-founder Steve Stamatiadis. A gameplay trailer will debut later tonight exclusively on Spike TV’s GameTrailers TV.

Confirming an earlier GameFly listing , Askys Games has announced that BlazBlue Portable will be hitting, juggling and then pulverizing the US in a succession of 673 extra-dimensional laser punches this March. The PSP version of the frenetic fighter will be available via UMD at first, and then the PlayStation Store approximately two weeks later.

French developer Golgoth Studio captured our attention this October when it announced it was working on a complete high-def remake of the classic arcade game, Toki . However, today Joystiq learned that Microsoft has decided against publishing the remake itself and has invited the indie dev to find another publisher willing to put the game on its platform.

Though yesterday’s Sony investor’s conference featured a concerning reference to the PSN’s “new revenue stream from subscription,” another slide from the presentation seems to indicate that the platform is already making money hand over fist. According to the slide (seen above), the company has set a lofty goal for the current fiscal year: It expects the PSN to bring in ¥50 billion (roughly $561 million) in revenue by the end of FY 2009.

It’s been over a year since Sony America and Japan debuted video delivery services for the PlayStation Store. Today, the long-delayed feature finally makes its way to Europe. The service will launch in France, Germany, Spain and the UK today, with other countries to follow in 2010
