Assassin’s Creed 2 mistakenly leaked to App Store, then taken out 08 January 2010 at 6:00 pm by admin


For a while last night and today, there were two ways to check out Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery before its official release on the iPhone App Store: Have a Nintendo DS Download the early version that somehow made it to the App Store before the official release date The mistakenly-listed game has since been removed, with Ubisoft reps telling Touch Arcade that it not only was it an early release of Discovery , but it wasn’t the final build, and thus may have had some bugs that will be ironed out by release.

We’ve seen ads promoting the Wii’s heretofore unconfirmed new $199 price point from Target and Toys R Us — however, Engadget recently got its hands on the crown jewel of retailer news leakage: A purported internal Best Buy memo which confirms the discount will go into effect this coming Sunday, September 27. The memo requests that blue-shirted employees keep the cut under wraps until Nintendo formally announces the new price this coming Friday. You guys are doing a great job of that so far

A giant Final Fantasy XIII ad has appeared on YouTube for users in Japan, advertising the reveal of the game’s release date sometime tomorrow — that’s a “few weeks” after the announcement of the release date was announced , mind you.

( click to Scorpion-size ) In what will assuredly not be the last leak of the summer from Halo 3: ODST as we lead up to its fall release, the entire achievement list has allegedly hit YouTube via Game-Tuts . While the list doesn’t reveal any shocking surprises, it does tell us quite a bit about where the game’s campaign mode will take us. According to the list, “Vidmaster” achievements will be making an appearance in the game, as well as all the de rigeur cheevos for regular ol’ campaign objectives.

Ubisoft seems to have developed two new areas of expertise over the past few months — accidentally leaking videos to the gaming press, and developing 10 to 15 second teasers for their highly anticipated titles. Today, we get an excellent example of both of these new habits in action — the massive French publisher recently leaked two 10 second clips from Assassin’s Creed II and Splinter Cell Conviction onto their FTP site. + Is This New Beyond Good & Evil 2 Footage? [Rumor] By admin 08 May 2009 at 4:30 pm and have No Comments

We’ve gotten our hands on some footage that appears to be for Ubisoft’s Beyond Good & Evil 2, the sequel to the underappreciated 2003 title. The footage shows a woman dressed very much like Jade was dressed in the 2008 announcement teaser for Beyond Good & Evil 2, running through a rundown looking town, avoiding police, climbing on top of a building and then making her ultimate escape via an orange helicopter. The visuals certainly match what little we’ve seen of the game so far
